International Dunhuang Project
Initiated by the British Library, this international database combines objects from museums around the world, all pertaining to the Silk Road. Includes textiles, manuscripts, paintings and artifacts with an emphasis on archaeology of the east side of Asia

Comprehensive database of Japanese woodblock prints, searchable by text terms or by uploading an image. Viewers can compare different editions of prints across collections, or find larger images and complete series from a single image or partial image
Japanese Open Art Database
Database of Japanese artworks including prints, drawings, and paintings from 1750 to the present, specially created for English-speaking users. Images have been sourced from all over the web and are under constant revision.
University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology
A large and well-researched collection of works and artifacts focusing on ancient and non-western genres. Images are available for personal noncommercial use, with high quality downloads available upon request. Includes educational lectures, videos, and articles.
